Tuna, an excellent source of lean protein, vitamins and minerals, is a wonderful way to excite the palate while maintaining a balanced diet. In fact, Americans eat about one billion pounds of canned and pouched tuna annually. The U.S. Tuna Foundation (USTF) was established in 1976 to be the representative voice of the U.S. canned tuna industry and speaks for the industry on numerous issues from fishing access arrangements and federal and state regulations, to national legislation and domestic marketing.
